FYE Peer Leaders

Peer Leaders are upperclassman student leaders who serve as mentors and role models in first-year student courses (compass courses). Peer Leaders are paired with a University faculty or staff member, teaching a variety of first-year courses. These courses (i.e. BCE 101, CIS 100, HES 100, NUR 102, AS 101) are designed to help first-year students adjust to the University, develop a better understanding of campus resources, and acquire essential academic success skills.
Application Dates
Open Date: January 2021
Close Date: Mid-February 2021
Requirements
Upperclassmen with a 2.5 GPA or higher and 2-4 hours of commitment per week.
The application process will require:
- Resume
- Brief application with open-ended and closed-ended questions
- Individual Interview
- Business or Professional Attire
